Maestro Paco Lara, originally from Jerez, will be on hand to teach guitar workshops, and to accompany in the dance and cante workshops. A rare chance to learn and gain valuable insight from this expert flamenco artist.

Chachy Penalver will lead these unique workshops with a focus on integration of flamenco dance with cante, guitar and cajon.

Cante

Flamenco singing will be demisitified and explained in the context its integration with the other elements. All classes will cover the codes and provide insight into each element’s interaction with Cante – the backbone of Flamenco.

Cajon

Find out how the soniquete of the cajon breaks and patterns integrate with the other elements. Study with Aria nominated cajonero Byron Mark. Cajon can be provided for the weekend for a $20 fee.

Guitar

A rare opportunity to study guitar and enjoy the astounding accompaniement of Paco Lara. Paco will share tips and tricks, after a prolific career in Spain and Australia.
